Paying for It: An Overview

June 30th, 2011

Check out what’s on offer with our free range of educational resources to develop economic awareness amongst 14-18 year olds.

Paying for It, which was been supported by Aviva, is now no longer running, however the tools and resources on this site are still available for use.   They will bring to life the issues surrounding the UK economy and Government policy, although some of the economic information is not up to date.

The Paying for It website will continue to host our free lesson plans which were updated for the 2013-14 academic year. These provide real life examples of how the wider economy impacts on the lives of your students. You can still access the Chance to be Chancellor resources, and the How will you be paying for it? activity but the content has not be updated and we do not intend to run the competition in the 2014-15 academic year.

The Paying for It teacher training resource is a part of the wider citizenship training offer from the Citizenship Foundation. We support teachers preparing for the National Curriculum and to meet the requirement to deliver a financial literacy element. Visit our dedicated page which gives more information on the free support on offer.
