COP17 climate change conference falters on producing the world with a legally binding deal on climate change.
Currently negotiations are focusing on agreeing to the need for a new climate treaty and on the timetable for future negotiations. On one of big talking points from the conference has been on agreeing who pays what for a Green Climate Fund to help offset the immediate impacts of climate change on some of the worlds poorest countries.
Energy and Climate Change Secretary Chris Huhne, who is representing the UK at the talks, recently took part in a ‘Question Time: Climate Change’ with audiences of young people from the UK & South Africa. The video from the event can be viewed here.
