Health

If your students were responsible for taking some of the big decisions on the future of the country’s health what would they do?

Health learning objectives include:

  • To understand there are a number of competing priorities within health care that cannot all be funded;
  • To understand some of the social and ethical dilemmas involved in allocating limited funding between different health care services.

Health curricula references at Key Stage 4:

Citizenship:
1.1b; 1.2b, c; 2.1a; 2.2a, b, c; 3a, j, k; 4a, b

PSHEE (EWFC):
1.3A; 1.4B; 2.4B; 3K

    Th downloadable Health pp only has 4 slides but the lesson plan indicates more including stuff on the health bids – is this correct or is the inside nhs pp somewhere else?

      Hi Littleonion

      The health power point contains four slides in total – 2 x ‘india Vargo’ & 2 x ‘inside the NHS’. The health care bids are provided towards the end of the lesson plan for you to photocopy.

      I would love your opinions on the health lesson plan after using it!

      Robert.
