• 'Paying for It’ has been developed by the Citizenship Foundation in partnership with Norwich Union to provide a unique online space connecting young people with economics and citizenship.
  • Why economics?
Economics is important nationally and internationally – It looks at what impact our decisions have, how individuals & groups of individuals make decisions, what drives those choices & the value those choices have.
  • It determines the quality of life, can decide political elections, may cause conflict & create peace, generates wealth & poverty, provides jobs & employment and produces everything we buy.
The Citizenship Foundation is an independent charity which aims to empower individuals to engage in the wider community through education about the law, democracy and society.
Paying for It operates a ‘twinning’ scheme in schools placing finance professionals in the classroom to provide opportunities for active collaborative learning about economics as part of citizenship education.
